These instructions assume you are running Apple iOS 4 or greater on the iPhone 3G. These instructions show you how to connect to Beats Pill 2 speakers to your iPhone 3G. Connect a Beats Pill from the iPhone 3G using Bluetooth

- Follow these steps to pair the iPhone 3G with a Beats Pill. First turn on the Beats Pill by pressing and releasing the power button, the power button is located the top of the Beats Pill. Then press and hold the 'b' for around 3 seconds until the Bluetooth LED located at the rear of the Pill quickly flashes white. This indicates that the Beats Pill is in pairing mode.
- On the home screen of the iPhone 3G open the Settings control panel, then go to the Bluetooth menu and make sure the Bluetooth option is turned on.
- Underneath select Beats Pill from the list of nearby devices to connect to the iPhone, it will then say "Paired" next to the name of the device.
- You can now play music on a Beats Pill wirelessly from the iPhone 3G. Tapping on the AirPlay icon in any iOS application that plays audio will bring up a list of devices where you’ll be able to toggle between headphones, the loudspeaker and a Beats Pill. When the Beats Pill has been paired the Bluetooth light will glow white.
- Next time you can turn on the Bluetooth speaker and it will automatically connect to the iPhone 3G without needing to pair again, just turn both devices on and wait for the Bluetooth LED to glow. The Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker can pair with eight Bluetooth devices, when you turn it on it will try to connect with the most recent.

- These instructions show you how to hook up the iPhone 3G to a Beats Pill using a cable to play audio. First locate the headphone socket on the top of the iPhone 3G.
- With the Beats Pill turned off locate the IN port found behind the speaker between the OUT port and the power button.
- Connect the headphone socket on the iPhone 3G to the IN on the Beats Pill port using a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable [4].
- Any audio from the iPhone 3G will stop playing on the phone speaker and play on a Beats Pill instead.
- After turning on the speaker you should be playing music from the iPhone 3G. You can now play audio on a Beats Pill from the iPhone 3G. [AD]
