  1. The following instructions describe how to pair a Beats Pill 2 with the iPad 2. First you will need to turn on the Beats Pill 2.0 by pressing and releasing the power button, then press the round 'b' button for three seconds until the light flashes. This indicates that the Bluetooth speaker is in pairing mode.
  2. From the home screen on the phone choose the Settings control panel, then go to the Bluetooth menu and make sure the Bluetooth option is turned on.
  3. From the nearby devices list select the Beats Pill 2, it will then say "Paired" next to the name of the device.
  4. The Beats Pill 2 and the iPad 2 are paired and ready to be used to play music. Tapping on the AirPlay icon in any iOS application on the tablet which plays audio will bring up a list of devices where you'll be able to toggle between the headphones, loudspeaker and a Beats Pill 2.   1. These instructions show you how to hook up the iPad 2 to a Beats Pill 2 using a cable to play audio. First locate the headphone socket at the top right of the iPad.
  2. Ensure the speaker is turned off then locate the IN port found at the rear of the speaker next to the OUT port.
  3. Connect the headphone socket on the iPad 2 to the IN on the Beats Pill 2 port using a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable [4].
  4. Any sounds from the iPad will stop playing on the loudspeaker and play on a Beats Pill 2 instead.
