These instructions assume that you have installed Apple iOS 9 or greater on the iPad Mini 4. These instructions show you how to connect to Beats Pill 2 speakers to the iPad Mini 4. - The following instructions describe how to pair a Beats Pill with the iPad Mini 4. First you need to turn on the Beats Pill by holding the power button, you'll find the power button located the top of the Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker. Hold the 'b' for 3 seconds until the Bluetooth light located on the rear of the Pill flashes white. This indicates that the Beats Pill is in pairing mode.
- From the home screen on the iPad choose the Settings control panel, then go to the Bluetooth menu and make sure the Bluetooth option is turned on.
- Underneath select Beats Pill from the list of nearby devices to pair with the iPad, shortly afterwards it will then say "Paired" next to the name of the device.
- The Beats Pill and the iPad Mini 4 are now ready to be used to play music. Tapping on the AirPlay icon in any iOS application on the tablet which can play audio will bring up a list of devices where you’ll be able to toggle between headphones, the loudspeaker and a Beats Pill. - In the future you can turn on the Bluetooth speaker and it will automatically connect to the iPad Mini 4 without needing to pair again, just turn both devices on and wait for the light to glow white. The Beats Pill speaker can remember 8 Bluetooth devices, when first turned on it will try to connect with the the iPad Mini 4 unless you connection another device.

- These instructions show you how to connect the iPad Mini 4 to a Beats Pill using a cable to play audio. Firstly locate the headphone socket at the top of the iPad Mini 4.
- With the Bluetooth speaker turned off locate the IN port found at the rear of the speaker to the left of the power button.
- Connect the headphone socket on the iPad Mini 4 to the IN on the Beats Pill port using a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable [5].
- From now on any sounds from the iPad will stop playing on the iPad speaker and play on a Beats Pill instead.
- After turning on the speaker you will be playing music from the iPad Mini 4. The Beats Pill and the iPad Mini 4 are now connected and can to be used to play audio. [AD]
